I’m inspired by people, stories and nature. When I look at a tree, I might see a face among the leaves or a figure in the trunk.  When I look at a person on the street whether young, old, famous or ordinary, I see a story in the lines on their faces. When I read or write, I visualize the characters sitting next to me.

I strive to connect these elements in my work using a variety of materials including copper, brass, aluminum mesh and clay to produce unique sculptural pieces.  I write short stories for many of my pieces and illustrate the characters, animals, or scenes using a clay sculpture, mesh mask and copper repousse’.  Working in a traditional copper repousse’ technique, I create both free-standing and wall-hung sculptural pieces that can be used both indoors and outdoors.

My work has been exhibited in galleries, used in theater productions and commissioned for outdoor use in a meditation garden.  I’ve also created one-of-a-kind masks for clients to wear to masked balls and for use on stage.  I also enjoy sharing my love of the creative process by teaching classes and workshops for children and adults.
